Wings of Wisdom

16 3/4 x 23 1/2" Oil on Canvas of Coastal First Nations Elder/Wise Woman invented by me.(I suspect that she is me SEVERAL years from now.) I got to be a Basket Hat Weaver, a beader, a shawl designer, a hairdresser and a discoverer of the beauty to be found in an ancient face. I love this subject, with her sad eyes that make you wonder about what she has seen in her life. A friend told me that she calls the grey hairs at her temples her "Wings of Wisdom" - hence, the title. ("Eagle Woman" didn't seem worthy.)
